It seems to me to be a merger of human and feline. I was just scribbling for relaxation with no particular aim.

It looks worried!

The expression seems to change, depending on *my* mood when I look at it. At the moment I see it as 'contemplatively smug'.

Now I see it as questioning. I think it's the looking up.

Thanks. :^)

Wow - see, I see a very... peaceful, bemused, benevolent cat spirit. Looking out at us from beyond some kind of veil beyond out understanding, waiting to give help and guidance if we only ask for it.

Or maybe I've had too much tea. I dunno. :D

In other news, I win at most appropriate icon.

Yes, blue kitty FTW! The whole thing started by me looking for a random photo to blur into a background texture. It was a yellow and white daisy/mum flower, until I inverted the color.

I've found I quite like mouse-sketching so long as I do it in layers and use the 'smeary finger' tool on the lines. (It's 7:30 am, my brain can't think what it's actually called.)

So it's a "mummy cat"? ;)

You mean that isn't what it's actually called?

Mumcat! He does have a 'I just ate a Tanna leaf' look about him. Katunkhamen?

Smearyfinger may possibly be called smudge? I like the word 'smudge', it reminds me of mudpies and fudge.

LOL!!

Yeah, it *IS* called smudge, and I love that word, too. Makes me think of a smidgen of fudge.

MMm... delicious smudge.

It has such knowing eyes.

[identity profile] entropy-house.livejournal.com 2007-09-13 11:40 am (UTC)(link)
I lucked out on the eyes after several tries, when instead of putting a highlight on top of them, I dragged in a bit of lighter color and let it do its own shading. That technique seems to give it more depth.
