*sigh* I mean, I *knew* the kit was designed for wooden gates, and had alternate instructions for metal-- but it STILL said on the website that it was easy and 'anyone' could do it. Anything that involves either drilling metal or welding is not an easy anyone project.
And even if I was attaching it to wood, in the simplest version, it was confusing to have the directions leap over things, assuming that you'd *know* stuff that wasn't told.
Electrician hasn't called me back. Think I will wait a few hours and then try the phone number the pool guy gave me. I haven't much hope of that, because it was a handyman close to him, which means it'd be quite a bit out of his way to come to me.
