Cats like company. Especially compatible company. :^) One tomcat I haven't seen in a long time was anti-social. He'd fluff up, tail lash, and snarl and sideways walk threaten nearly all the other cats, and if they didn't back down, he'd attack.

Some people/cats are just born grumpy.
