Thanks to my potato print giraffes I now have 984 giraffes- I've not only passed Russia, but also Italy. YAY.

EDIT: I stuck the photo on.
Also YAY, my Canon came home. Lassie, I missed you! When I mailed it on the 17th, I requested tracking as well as insurance, but on looking at the receipt at home it had only an insurance ID number, which was non-trackable. So I said, well Canon said they'll email me within 2-5 days after receipt of the camera, so I'll just wait for the email to know they got it. Canon didn't email, so I wasn't expecting it back & had to wake up and run outside in my nightgown when I heard Fed Ex beeping (they never come to the door, so if you don't catch them in the street, they're gone.) The Canon tech note said they found a problem and 'Electrical adjustments were carried out on the optical system and product functions were confirmed. Other inspection and cleaning were carried out' . In my brief testing, it appears to be working. YAY. *fingers crossed*
I am fixing up some pics I took with the old Canon whilst the new one was gone. The butterflies & lizards gave me some nice shots (I'm sorting through 200 whilst watching the cheapo off-TV VHS to DVD's short-run SF shows that are unlikely to ever make it to official DVDs that I bought from the Gold Monkey. So far they all play, quality is variable from poor (Manimal) to ok (Q.E.D.) to not bad (Probe) to pretty good (Misfits of Science)- I am watching Misfits now. That was a lovely show... I sniffle up a little every time I see Dean Paul Martin, he was so beautiful, so sweet and so cute and funny. *sigh* He died so young. (He was in the National Guard and flew his F-4 Phantom fighter jet into a Ca. mountain during a snowstorm.)
Today the weather has turned cool- yay, it's 75.7 degrees F!!! Plus: I have the A/C off and a window open (would have been nice it it'd been this cool yesterday when I roasted a turkey) Minus: I see no butterflies or lizards. They don't like to move around at this temperature.
I have a headache I'd got yesterday while roasting. Possibly also the weather change from 119 to 76 degrees (going by my home thermometer) and humidity from 49% down to not registering at all... may have affected my witch senses. :^) Coffee and tylenol are good, but I really need chocolate and butterflies... :^)
I found a paper from 1974 when I took a Judo class in community college (I broke someone's ankle but it was HER FAULT- I told her she was falling wrong but she insisted on continuing. I got an A in class). At the start of the class the teacher took photos of each of us standing in front of a lined wall. That was when I first knew I was bently. Explains why physicality was never my strong suit. Anyway, I think I'll scan the pics to show you guys just for the heck of it.
