Went to sleep around 2:30a.m.
Woke up around 9am (think I heard phone ring, but no message so assumed telemarketer timing call to see what time of day I'll answer the phone-- which is NEVER unless:
a)I recognize a friend's number or b) you leave a message that makes me want to talk to you.)
I NEED at LEAST 9 hours sleep for stupid body reasons, so was tired, but not sleepy so I opted to start my day & nap later. Doing my thing at computer etc.
Phone rings again around 10am. Telemarketer 800# answer-phone IDs.
Around 11 am same thing (different number but I RECOGNIZE the kind of #s they use by now.)
Around Noon BRIIIING again. Getting sleepy think I'll nap once the nerve jangle of phone goes away
Around 1pm RINNNG AGAIN. Once I stop quivering I unplug answerphone. Lie down for nap around 1:30 pm.
Around 2pm OTHER Phone rings, and since it's not answerphone it KEEPS RINGING. I give up and get up.
*Sheesh* If I wasn't so tired I would have remembered that while unhooking the wall phone is tricky, *unlike* the answerphone it has an off switch on the ring.
Honestly GUYs, calling me EVERY HOUR for SIX HOURS in a row, WITH NO ONE at the other end to talk to, is really MEAN. I can't even tell them to take me off their calling list- (it usually doesn't work anyway.) They run in cycles and all I can do is ignore them until they fill in their little chart of X for times that don't work to get me to answer. Then they give up for a month or so.
Been 2 hours since the last call & my nerves have begun to unwind. Am going to feed cats, UNPLUG/turn off Ringer and try for a nap again.
