I got started when it was only 84F but had to stop several times to dig up old sprinkler pipe & Asp. ferns, and to cut back Asp. ferns I couldn't dig up, so I only got as far as mowing the verge and a small part of the front yard before I got really hot & came in and saw the new temperature reading.
*whew* I'll go back out again later.
EDIT: Got caught up in trying to fix an ugly edge in repeat on 3 designs, spent a long time & discovered I'd just made it ugly in a different way. *sigh* It had cooled back down to 84 so I went out and mowed the rest of the front yard.
The neighborhood cats left me a gift... good size young rat. EEEEE. I just left it for now, maybe it's someone's dinner.
When I finished the front I watered & when I went to water the back (too late to mow now will try to do it tomorrow) there were two tomatoes lying on the patio tile! They were on the plant yesterday. So I took them in, inspected them, rinsed them off and ATE THEM. They were still a little green at the stem end, but SO GOOD. YAY.
