Pleasant surprise after the Bunny Photos.

Right knee is grumbly today, shall try to do less that annoys it. WORK BODY, WORK. Oh, last night I turned around and found MORE eyebuy direct boxes with eyeglasses in on a shelf next to the Box o' Fur. Do they BREED?

Also found a mini flashlight I'd bought back when I was making B7 bears- it has a long solid clear plastic tube on the end, so it reminds me of the guns they used. It was STILL in the unopened plastic clamshell, so old it had turned yellow and brittle. When I cut open the package of course the flashlight didn't work. With a bit of effort I got the button cell batteries out- all corroded white. It probably ruined the mechanism even if I had the right batteries to replace. But hey! In Blake's 7, the gun light effect was added in post production, so a non-working gun is canon.

I put it in the guest/box/tool/library on a shelf below the bears in front of my collection of hand-written recipes organized mostly in reused school binders (I actually used about half a dozen of the recipes in the 57 or so years since I started doing that- rewriting recipes cut from the newspaper and the backs of food packages while watching TV. I never liked to just watch TV without doing SOMETHING. Haven't written any in ages- got rid of the TV long long ago.)

Found petrified poo under the table in the back room, deposited on areas of the floral rug where they'd blend in. This is NOT what camouflage is MEANT FOR, 'Tasha!

When I went out to dump the bag of coproliths, I noted that, two houses down, the trash bin that was emptied on Tuesday is still in the same place, with the lid open. I wonder if the Fire Rescue people took the occupant the other day? I hope whoever it is, is ok. And also hope thieves don't take notice and rob the house in their absence.

Since I'm not in the drawing mode (or ficcing mode, sad to say despite recent request to add to a story that I KNOW has more SOMEWHERE in my brain) I set my Spoonflower Library to show me 'best sellers' and uploaded some of them in different scales. I miss the functionality that SF took away a few months ago- I used to be able to send/receive messages to/from purchasers who had a Spoonflower account. It was safe because SF acted as intermediary so neither of us knew our email or personal information. People would ask 'do you draw X breed of dog?' 'can you change the scale/background color/direction?' 'can you make a coordinating solid/plaid' etc? I could make exactly what someone wanted.

I'm guessing that if something is popular in one scale, maybe larger/smaller? would also find homes. Worth a try.

Got sidetracked- in the living room there's a coffee table (which has never known coffee) with binders full of cross-stitch leaflets and magazines put into sheet protectors- but one of the most common companies 'Leisure Arts' makes their publications JUST that teensy bit too wide to fit into the usual bottom seal sheet protectors- so I had spent ages punching holes into fold over plastic that has no bottom seal & is suppose to seal by slip on plastic (I forget what it was meant for). Of course, if I picked up the binder, everything fell out. The Gravity of the Problem was inescapable, so I put an elastic meant to hold small pieces of luggage around the 2 binders.

And later I found TWO different stashes of normal sheet protectors, so I thought I could at least sort out the Non-Leisure Arts to put in there. AND THEN after doing that and looking at the mountain of ones that would not fit... BRAIN FUNCTION! Why not slice open the SIDE of the normal sheet protector. Gravity DOES NOT WORK SIDEWAYS (sideways you have to be aware of momentum and inertia but normally I'd pick up the binder holding it closed and they wouldn't be large factors when opening a binder on the table. So today I am cutting open plastic to protect something I'll never use (but I DO enjoy looking at them from time to time). I actually did use THREE of the leaflets long ago- one was to cross-stitch inserts in plastic coffee mugs- outer clear plastic that snaps over the inner mug so the cross-stitch doesn't get soiled, one was to make cross-stitch labels on quilts and one was to make cute top on a pretty canning jelly jar. I am getting a little distracted because they are some really beautiful projects...

Sometimes it is enough to imagine doing something. And of course, my inner dragon loves to have hoards of similar things.

Which reminds me of this AMAZING and GORGEOUS art this person does of dragon hoards. She? takes/took commissions! (I don't know if they are still doing that.) LOTS of beautiful pictures with wonderfully charismatic and unique dragons. So much detail and realism....CUDDLES THEM ALL.

I keep forgetting to check my blood pressure--- 132 over 72...mmmm... better? I think? A month of trying to do yard work and other physical activities is helping. However, while I did eventually GET a thingie to test blood sugar I still haven't opened the package.

I read some online blurb trying to sucker me in with a pronouncement that Procrastination is a depression response and I could take a test to find out the Secret to Life the Universe and Happiness. I didn't take the test. Would that mean I've been depressed my entire life? Hmm... maybe I need more chocolate... oh, wait, that probably wouldn't be good for blood sugar. *weighs pros and cons... decides to go with brown and serve sausages* NOM NOM NOM.

I've been working on the oven mitts- maybe have them done by tomorrow. If my wonky camera holds up, I might get to photograph the completed project tomorrow. Oh, it's after 5pm. I'll post what I have, and hope for New Adventures tomorrow.

All bunnies have button joints and eye colors varying to sort of match the buttons.

6pm I just went to push a door more fully open- noted something was keeping it from going all the way back. Hanging from the door knob was-- a tiny cloth bag the city had mailed to all resident near the beginning of the pandemic- it still had the flier about common precautions a pair of purple nitrile gloves and a tiny bottle of hand sanitizer- I probably used the face mask long ago... also there was a cloth bag I bought at the grocery not long after Civil War came out- with Rogers for Freedom and Stark for Justice- and a clothish lightweight bag I'd had printed with a photo I took of an anhinga- it was stuffed full of 7 small quilts I'd made (ranging from placemat/ doll/ wall hanging size) and vaguely wondered where I'd put them. Well, now there's room to put them in the linen closet. :^)
