So far on the curbside 'self-serve recycling'... The 'Easy Angel' book (crafts involving gluing stuff together mostly) and 2 red and white Christmas themed ceramics disappeared yesterday. Today someone came and took metal & looked at the big wet saw but didn't want it.

I'm cutting the loquat one bundle at a time- I have a system! I tie a loop in one end of two long lengths of cut off selvage and stretch them out of the grass parallel and a few feet apart. I lay the cut branches over that and then pick up the cloth, pull the unlooped end through the loop to tighten around the bundle, tie it off and then I carry out a nice neat stack of branches to the curb.

So far it's worked out great- the sanitation truck scoops it up, and the workers are really nice to me and pick up any large bits that fall off. Some of my neighbors are slobs, but I try to set a good example.

Gaze upon my works, ye Nasty, and REPENT.

The turkey vultures were flying slightly lower today as it's a bit cooler- I'm thankful for that as it makes the tree trimming less exhausting. I THINK I got a nice photo of one with the moon in the background.

Finished another tote and took photos--- hah. The guy who looked at the wet saw apparently took part of it. I guess for the metal?

Pushed Max around the pool once. Very breezy today, not quite blustery. Must remember to wear goggles when I go back out for more tree trimming.

Got a good pile of branches out by the curb and then my body went nooo, have pity. So I rested up, and sewed a bit, and then I had a little SWIM. Not much, because the water is still a little cool, but FOUR whole doggie paddle laps! (I don't like to get water in my ears- had an infection once, and I'm cautious so I try not to dunk my head).

When I was swimming I noticed 3 pigeons doing a few orientation circles flying overhead (I think they do this when learning a 'home'). One of them had bright red under its left wing, so I'm guessing it's a homer being trained for a race and the color is to make it easier for the owner to see it in flight.

Came in and sewed some more and the Amazon truck came, with my white thread. Of COURSE, once I went into my secondary thread stash looking for space to store it I realized I have a TERTIARY thread stash and there were 6 spools of white thread there. Oops. Well, thread takes a long time to go bad...

Did some more sewing and realized when I'm sewing the machine says NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM... going for 7 pm. Time to upload a few photos.

Southwestern style tote was a good size - I tried to match the motifs to a fabric color that looked good with them and in this case the one motif was so large.. WE'RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER TOTE.

The Valentine one only looked good on white, which was a smaller piece of fabric.

And here is the turkey vulture against the moon. I had to adjust the shadows so you could see the white feathers, and the blue so you could see the moon, but I didn't do any moving around of moon and bird. That was what I saw.
