Yesterday my left knee was grumbling. Today it's my right knee. I guess they take turns? Still on the loquat. Mostly I'm at the sawing stage near the top of the tree. So far I've been able to do it without getting out the ladder. Hope I can finish without the ladder. Extensible pruning saw is hard on the arms, but the ladder is hard on the knees, plus I get tense on the ladder. Didn't grow up with stairs, so I remain a Flat Earther.

Wow. Some posit the Earth is a flat pancake surrounded by a ring of ice (the north pole?) When the ICE MELTS will the Earth lose support and FOLD UP LIKE A TACO?

Ok, long gap there- it's going for 6:30 pm. I fought the tree and got to the final three top big branches. Started sawing the one that was a little distance away from the others, so allowing room for the pole saw. After much effort, sawed the branch through, which shifted to wedge in between stubs of previous cut and TRAPPED the saw.

Got my second pole saw (this one I removed. the saw and just use the clipper, so it fits into smaller areas.) Pushed the branch to try to free the first pole saw. Branch shifted. Trapping the SECOND pole saw.

Got my third pole saw (long since worn out & without a saw, I keep it for situations like this where I need to push/pull to free another pole saw.

Branch shifted and trapped the THIRD pole saw.

Old Woman Shakes Fist at Tree.

Got my household ladder and my new 18 inch double-cut pruning saw. Got ladder into the tree (the area near the trunk has little foliage) climbed up and sawed and started freeing saws. Got all 3 saws out, moved them well away from the tree. Climbed ladder again and sawed the stuck branch. Got it cut in two pieces & got them out.

Tree looks stupid with two big branches sticking out of the top, but I'm done for the day. Don't know if I'll be up for working on it tomorrow - don't know when the bulk pickup happens.Sometimes it's early, sometimes it's even a day late.

FLUMPH. I had hoped to get this done today and do some sewing, but it is what it is.

Shall sit here and hydrate for a while.
