Poop, Wires and WTF (added photos) Edited MORE STuFF.
Wish today had a better start. Cat pooped JUST outside of her box- not nice to wake up to that- cleaned up, sprayed Febreeze, turned on fan, opened windows, and I'm thinking once I fully awake I'll go out in the yard and hope the sewer lift station across the street isn't having a burp day.
I don't have much hope for getting the Flickr account reinstated. After thinking it over, I believe it was deleted in error because I logged in on a different computer, and then answered the 'was it you' confirmation email through my default browser which no longer works properly on Flickr (I can only read public stuff- couldn't even log in using that browser).
Ok, so I went out to gather the dried weeds from the past few days, shake the dirt off and then carry them to the compost pile. I looked up and WTF? The utility pole behind my house has long been a mess of assorted wires and patches (and for some reason a big light that shines down on the neighbor's back yard, but now there's a LOOP of wire, and a cut wire, and a dangling box. I still have power and internet, so I don't know what's going on.
I called Fla.Power & Light, fought my way though the automated & reported it. It doesn't seem to be a hazard, but its SOMETHING, so she said someone will come some time today. They might want to call me back, so I'll try not to get into anything out of hearing range of the phone.
My throat is acting up again so talking and getting the automated to understand me was iffy. Don't know if they'll cut my power/internet, so I'm going to post now, and maybe update later.
The assassin bug is really pretty. Glad it's not out to assassinate ME. I did two views because it is pretty both ways. The fuzzy bits on the legs are apparently debris that it picks up to add to the natural white markings.
Here is a side view showing the pretty colors. I keep thinking it would make a great comic book villain costume. The ASSASSIN. You can more clearly see the fuzzy bits. I'm guessing the legs have tiny 'hairs' that pick up debris. I don't grant the critter the intelligence to do it deliberately. It's not as if it really camouflages it with those colors.
Some of the lower branches that I didn't cut on the loquat have fruit. Not really ripe enough for me, the birds will probably eat them before I get to them. I like them best when they start to turn brown. So sweet, like mini Bartlett pears- only better.
A picture does a better job of explaining the confusing mess of wires. I'm not sure that they'll say there's anything wrong, but it definitely does NOT look sensible.

AO3 will be down for 3 hours of maintenance from 09:00-12:00 UTC on Friday, March 7
So I'm stocking up on tabs with ENTIRE WORK (because I once thought I was prepared for AO3 downtime and I had only the FIRST chapters of a bunch of fic. Live and learn.)
Electric guy came and said the mess is AT&T, so maybe I'll call them when I have strength to handle another game of A.I. phone tag. He said he liked my sign (on the gate I have 'I am home, I don't have a car I am watching') When I told him I'd done that because I'd had my garden hose stolen when I was at the hospital he told me a story that...wow.
People came home to find their backyard grill missing. A few days later the grill returned along with a full tank of propane and thanks for using it and four tickets to a Marlin (baseball) game. They went to the game and returned home to find they'd been ROBBED.
And then I got a reply from Flickr, they say the deletion was deliberate but wouldn't tell me even what rule I broke. I read the rules

and since I don't think I did ANY of them, I can't be sure even if they let me get a new account, I might get deleted again. So I won't even try. Just glad I was able to email one person who was able to email one other person who is on the forum so they have closure.

About loquat - I am sure you have put it jus t right about the taste - very close to the pears as far as I know.:-)

I'm just going to relax today, sew, read fic, do random stuff to keep moving. I just made a Random Salad which turned out very tasty- Romaine lettuce, hard cooked egg, cheddar, black olives, apple tossed with a mixture of mayonnaise & ketchup.
