And found a family blog in which the mother said of her little boy and his plush toy:
Drake wanted to show everyone his puppy. He is so proud of it. I'm sure most of you have seen it and smelled it too. He loves that puppy more than anything in the world.
And a book review here (Zoltan, Hound of Dracula) that cries out for a crossover... just read this excerpt.
When the dust of the explosion died down, the soldiers realised they had uncovered an ancient grave. The Dreadful thing that escaped from the damaged coffin looked like a dog.
Its search for a master took it from Central Europe to California - and an ordinary couple on a camping holiday with their children and their beautiful puppy dogs.
There was nothing special about the couple: except that Paul’s grandmother had changed the family name to Drake from Dracula …
