I did ask, but I was told 'Girls get Home Ec. you can't take Shop'. Only useful thing learned: how to set in a zipper invisibly. If a guy doesn't learn how to sew, he can go to Walmart and buy a new shirt for a few bucks. If a gal knows how to sew she can spend 4X as much and a lot of time and make her own shirt. Whee. I've been trying to teach myself all the things that are a whole HECK of a lot easier to learn with an instructor at your side.

Anyway, I only broke one drill bit and my hands are sore, but I do have guide holes (slightly smaller than the tap-cons) drilled through the wood for the window. Once my hands feel a bit better I'm going to try to liquid nail the board in place to hold it until I can get the hammer drill.

I strongly urge folks who have young female relatives to see to their home repair skills. Even if they never need to change a washer, shut off the water or gas to their home, patch a wall, tile a floor, replace the float in a toilet, replace a ceiling light-- they need to know how the job should be done, so they don't get ripped off by incompetent workmen.

EDIT: I have got Such a headache. I called George to ask about the drill & getting the pool light & housing. It turned into a nightmare of back & forth phoning )
