Water, water!
May. 28th, 2009 09:43 am*sigh* Good old ehouse. I woke up a bit before 7am to thunder, so decided to finish painting the closet & see if the weather cleared up later for turtling. I finished painting the walls, scraped the excess from the roller & went into the kitchen to wash up before starting on the baseboard with the semi-gloss, and looking forward to a cuppa and either a shower or starting on the turtles.
NO water. Two drops. The water company is doing a repair. All the young lady I spoke to could say was that the average time is 3 hours. *sigh* So... that pretty much means a nice new paint roller shot. And I'm so stinky.
Oh, well...mmm, maybe I can put the roller in a zip-lock to keep it from drying out & maybe there's enough water in the kettle for one cup. I wish I had my poooool. I could always drag out a bucket at least for rinsing tools and my sweaty body. I wonder if hand lotion will get paint off my fingers?
EDIT: You can wash your hands with Fantastic Heavy Duty cleaner-- but I wouldn't recommend it. After I did it I noticed a faint bleach odor. Shall put hand lotion on next.
EDIT: I discovered enough water left in the hot tap to rinse my hands and then SUDDENLY there was MOAR WADDA, like twice the pressure it's been for years. They really did fix it.
REJOICE, YE DAUGHTERS of LABOUR, there is water!
