Belated Happy Birthday to Hip Deep in Heroes

As I'm waiting for a callback from the pool company (they sent me a bill that doesn't add up properly) I looked for an In Progress item to work on, and the first thing I found was the (authorized) sequel I started to hafen's 'Lost and Found' which is hosted on the Hip Deep in Heroes B7 site. Glancing at the home page, I see that it officially opened on July 15, 2008. (And I STILL haven't got 'round to registering & putting anything on there... well, if I do ever finish 'Finder's Keepers' that really should go there.

(authorized sequel to hafren's Lost and Found
It's a HEX. I continued on from Hafren's lovely bittersweet story and made a Happy Ending. Hafren doesn't mind me doing that. I know many people feel it spoils their original story if it's HEXed, so I only HEX authors I already KNOW don't mind Hexing. I won't 'pressure' anyone by asking to HEX, so don't worry that posting a sad story means I'll be mucking with it. If you like the idea, you'll have to tell me you don't mind.

( Don't think there's anything triggery here. It's a bit more than 4,000 words. No explicit sex. )

That took forever, but I have put Finders Keepers up on the B7fic archive

Even during registration I kept coming up with situations where none of the available options were quite what I wanted.

Then when I put in the story I tried to use the HTML centering code it said was allowed, but my asterisks spacers wound up off to the left anyway. Then I tried to edit it to remove the asterisks spacers, and couldn't get the edit to register. Eh. I've spent too many hours on this to care. If I've done something wrong, I'll find out later. Am off to try for a dip in the pool. My stupid hip's been annoying me all day, so instead of mowing or other useful work, I've been planted in front of the computer all day, which is a Bad Thing. :^)

I swam gently, which was lovely and pain-free. Got out of the pool & hip started whinging again. So I uploaded some fractals I'd made recently. *head-scratch* I'm sure there's a connection there somewhere.

Photofiddling Fractals & A butterfly

I'm still warming up for naarmamo. The other day I combined 2 pics I'd taken- a butterfly, and some clouds, and applied a few photoshop elements filters to them. I quite liked the result, and today it occurred to me to try filters on some fractals to see if I could make them look like art.
