feng_shui_house: me at my computer (Default)
My joints are in my bottom drawer, waiting for the rest of the teddy bear/doll 'hardware' I normally store there. The eyes are *some* of my collection I've gathered over the years (the rest are in the sewing room which is the next on my clear-out, fix up, paint, and sort parade. Not in the near future.)

My toe hurts much less today, but I am soooo sleepy. Rainy days do that to me.

Have found duplicates of 2 nice craft books to add to my Adopt a Book drawer in the Flist Guest room. And then I thought, these 2 books are new/like new, so maybe someone would want them now enough to be willing to wait until I have a chance to get to the Postal Orifice (this might be months...). I found them listed on Amazon, so you can see them.

One was the source I used yesterday to make Naart. This copy still has the CD sealed inside the back cover.

And The Cat's Meow : Purr-fect Quilts for Cat Lovers

(If anyone's interested in either of these books, I'll see what else is in that drawer that could go with it. I think I've a book of Mythological Creatures to cross-stitch in there, too.)

Ok, enough procrastination, make a cup of coffee & get to work. This room isn't going to reassemble itself! *And I want to get to Ca. before I die*

I am never going to get through sorting... I am now looking at the first of... at least 5... folders/envelopes filled with newspaper/magazine cuttings, plus printouts of interesting stuff and bits I copied from solving puzzles. Like these two.

Under this sod and under these trees
lieth the body of Solomon Pease.
He's not in this hole,
But only his pod,
He shelled out his soul
and went up to his God.

And

My sense of sight is very keen,
my sense of hearing weak.
One time I saw a mountain pass,
But did not hear its peak.

AND Blake's 7 palindromes I made up and the lyrics to a Dr. Who song I wrote (which no one has ever sung, unless you count me in the shower.)

It's... very punny and I wrote back when Tom Baker was the Doctor. Meaning I was very young and emo. So I'm hiding it behind a cut. I don't even know the name of the original song I fitted it to. Some mellow 1950's thing, I think.

If I were dating Dr. Who )
