Avon and the Wolf (pic)

Inspired by darrowsgirl's Avon and the Wolf pics illustrating recent events in kalinda001's saga, I had a go at putting Avon with a wolf pic. (Mainly because it's hot, humid, and I'm feeling headachy and lazy-- I did at least brush and vacc the pool... still have to clean the filters... don....wannnaaaaa....)

I cleaned the filters. As a reward for being good, I saw a cute bird- got a very, very poor snap of it. It was smaller than a sparrow, with a dark greenish brown back and bright yellow chest and throat. I expect it was either some sort of vireo, or perhaps a warbler. (Maybe a pine warbler)

Poss. LJ bug, including a poll

I don't bother reporting glitches any more (why overwork the one or two volunteers they have left) unless they really mess me up, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed vanishing but counted comments? That is, if you have comment notification turned on, you get an email, but when you go to the post, the comment isn't there, BUT the comment *is* counted in the number of comments listed on the page? (And none of these are screened comments). Even if you don't have notification turned on you may be SURE you posted a comment, but not see it.

I noticed it yesterday while RPGing (and I'm sure not going to show LJ any posts like that), and the day before I'd posted a comment to someone else's journal that didn't show up on the page, but DID affect the count. And today on yet a third other person's journal, the count includes 2 comments more than are shown, including one that was a reply to me and which came in my email notification.
