B7 avatar in one of the Drollerie Ebooks?
Oct. 17th, 2009 08:16 pmI faffed about today, sewing Drake's costume (all I need to do now is the hat) and reading FAERIE BLOOD by Angela Korra’ti. This is so far both the longest and the one I liked best of all my Drollerie Press. purchases. Excellent pacing, intriguing and likable characters, a plot that makes sense, and unfolds naturally, and just the right amount of budding romance (physical attraction, yes, but the real reason they are attracted to each other is personality- both good people with similar interests.) There really aren't any sex scenes, but it doesn't need them. It also has the amount of violence I prefer- nothing to make me say 'ICK', but enough to make me sympathize with the good guys.
At one point a character who has very little to do with the story (basically, a henchman) is introduced.
The other male had shorter hair than his companions did, a loose amber mane
that wreathed his head and shoulders in radiant waves, and eyes as blue as
noontime.
His name is Tarrant. :^)
