Another bit of Cat's World

I woke up and lay there trying to figure out why John was so Emo, and after trying out several unsatisfying scenarios I hit on the answer. The plot thickens. It's surprising how well this business of adding a few 100 words a day is working. *fingers crossed* So far I haven't written myself into any corners, or put in any useless filler.
