I'm not built for getting up early after little sleep. *yawn* Tried the Public Service Complaint site again- not only did it take forever and failed to load, I had to open up 2 more pages and a PDF to discover that they no longer regulate complaints against Internet, but only wired telephone services. So, theoretically I could report AT& T to them for my house phone (using my cell phone I suppose), but not Comcast for the Internet.

I have to contact the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Consumer Services. Agriculture?? WHat has that got to do with telecommunications? I also have the Federal Trade Commission for business practices to try- again, the on line form won't work.

Ok, after the tech's visit, I'll line up my phone numbers and addresses and call the PSC on ATT, The FDA on Comcast, the FTC for both ATT and Comcast & then fire off mail to Comcast Corp HQ. MMm... don't have an ATT corp HQ address ATM... well, ATM the house phone is actually working, so that's not urgent.

So... very... tired.

I've been calling Comcast about every half hour (takes about half a minute to get to the automated telling me I have an appt.) at 10:30 I had an appt. at 11:15 I called and it no longer said I had an appointment. I tried to get through, but it said there's a long wait, do you want to have us give you a call back? I said yes, but really, I know they're not going to call me, I was just going along with it, so I could post to let off steam

THIS IS SUCH CRAP. I even managed to get the call-back confirmation last night, but that's not good enough???!! Ok, I just thought to add the FCC to my complaint list. I have GOT to go to the bank & the grocery, been putting it off because I kept having to sit home and wait by the phone. Will go tomorrow, and sod these SOBs.

They tried the call back. MAN, I connected with the stupid privacy director and hit the YES YES button and STILL it didn't connect and hung up on me!

such crap! i called back and now every minute i have to press 2 to confirn i want to hold on or it hangs up on me.

I hung on until I got through to the usual who finally said 'I'll escalate it, and we'll send out another useless tech to look at your house and tell you it's FINE' BUT you have to ANSWER the call back which should happen within 45 minutes.' I told her unless they use a private cell phone it probably WON'T get to me, and in an hour I'm calling the FCC. I AM FED UP.

Huh, I actually got a call NOT from Comcast, a person apparently using their private cell phone as I asked. Supposedly I have a CONFIRMED no need to answer a call tech appt between 2-5. Fine. I'll call the FCC tomorrow because 2-5 means 5. Unless my taxi driver is well tomorrow, in which case I'll go to the grocery & bank.
