Not so good...
Dec. 18th, 2011 07:15 amLast night, after a hard day of tiling, I started getting half-circle shadows in the vision on my left eye. Then around bedtime (1 am) it turned into full circle lightning flashes. Too late to do anything, so I went to bed. Got up at 7 am and have put in a call to the eye care after hours number & am getting dressed, hoping to get a call-back. The left eye is extremely near-sighted, so a retinal detachment is rather likely. Bummer. And why does this stuff happen on weekends?
Doctor called back at 8am. Now I'm trying to track down a cab. First 2 numbers I called no one answered. The third one I don't usually have much luck with- they always answer and always SAY a cab will come within 10-15 minutes (but if one isn't in the area, they don't tell you they won't come at all). So it's 8:12, I'll call them back in 8:22 to see if anyone's coming.
Nope. 8:22 'give me a few more minutes to look for a cab for you'. 8:36 'give me a few more...' No, obviously that's not working. In desperation I've asked my neighbor for a ride. I hate doing it, but I'm getting nowhere with the cabs.
