I've been using this for a while & it works well for me. It will give you a word count, plus it has a lot of nice little features for a freebie on line no registration required tool. It has a thesaurus (click on a word and options pop up), gives an estimate of reading level difficulty, an average reading time, an average reading aloud time, keyword density (if you reuse a word a lot, it'll show up) plus other features.
