March 8 is International Women's Day and the google is just so uplifting- it's animated with bright music, and focuses on women's accomplishments, without showing any faces, so it can be any woman, or all women.

EDIT: A fan video compilation of kick ass women in Marvel & DC, set to the music 'Come Together'. It's great fun! SO MUCH KICKING ASS, and no stopping to collect names.

And here's a site about the day.
https://www.internationalwomensday.com

I only glanced at it, but following one link trail led me to this, which I think is an awesome idea, but getting to it is a pain.

https://www.internationalwomensday.com/Missions/15558/Diageo-s-Baileys-Women-s-Prize-for-Fiction-launched-Reclaim-her-Name

'Reclaim Her Name' sees a collection of 25 classic novels, previously published under male pseudonyms, re-released with the author’s true names on the cover. Each of the novels has has been made available to download in e-book format for free.

The link given in the article just sends you back to the home page. I peeled out the active part of the link, and got to the sponsor's page.

But there are too many hoops for me, first you have to agree to cookies, then they want your birthday (because of responsible drinking?? what does that have to do with reading books on line? If you're old enough to read, you're old enough to get drunk on words.)

So, you know, I leave the links here, because maybe other folks will consider the effort worth it, to find women's literature under their real names.
