Am very tired & ouchy. Well a week of low-sleep anemia without the fun of a vampire will do that to me.
Being too apathetic to move at least resulted in a fair amount of fic writing. (Plus two pictaps of dancing B7 folk. I won't mention the pony and the penguin with invisible legs disasters.)
Yesterday Tara had her stitches out (the ones she didn't remove herself) and she's very happy that she no longer has to wear a huge collar. She only peed inappropriately twice (or maybe three times) since the op on the 2nd, where she had been doing it several times a day. I hope spritzing the feline calming pheromone around will help her break the behavioral pattern now that she doesn't have the physical problem.
Got a new toilet seat yesterday & put it on today despite them omitting a part & having bad directions.
Bro went over to his ex-property today & did painting for the buyer, our friend the electrician, & hopefully someday soon the electrician will come over here & finish bros room then bro can move his stuff back & I'll have space to do eBay sorting/ Family memorabilia sorting/ letterzine sorting, etc. & will be able to mail stuff out.
Today's mail included the dismissals for the violation tickets on mom's car, thanks to the letter what I done writ to the judge saying no one owns it, no one can register it, no one drives it, please can we not have to pay these fines? Thank you, beneficent providence that the judge was apparently in a good mood when he/she read my letter.
Have given the electrician's wife, who works for my doctor, a brief description of the note I need in order to apply for homestead exemption. Hope to get that business sorted out soon.
The roofing company called & offered me a 20% discount because it's their slow season, but that's still about $14 thousand. I called a nice realtor for advice & her thought was that it would be better to lower the price of the house when selling if neccessary to compensate buyer for the roof (which isn't leaking) being 60 years old, rather than have the aggro of doing it while I'm living in it, so ok, good. I'd rather spend the money on essentials, like getting bro's room fixed, the swimming pool workable & new windows & hopefully hurricane shutters. Have to juggle cost/benefit ratios on time/energy/money on so many things.
Have *got* to get new A/C as soon as BrandsMart gets new shipment. I don't dare turn the one in this room, the 'computer room', on any more because it makes the room reek of mildew from the water it floods inside the wall and I don't want to have to patch up another huge hole in the wall.
Ok, must go clean catboxes. Was too tired to do it for days. Poor kitties.
