Got the supposedly final probate papers today. The attorney screwed up.
I'd had to put the refund on the insurance *I'd* paid for on e-house in the estate trust fund because the policy & therefore the check were in mom's name. Attny repeatedly assured me this was my money. Instead it's listed as an asset of the estate & due for 4 way division. Great, I'm allowed 1/4 of my own money.

The rental moneys from MY property also had to go into the estate trust fund, but he kept saying I'd get it back in the end. Well, no. It's listed as ZERO dollars, because it was used to 'pay administration expenses and repay the funeral expenses'. HAH? I paid all the lawyer fees & funeral expenses. I repay myself out of my own money?

And to top it off, he's generously given the whole of the uncollectable cousin debt to ME to add to my taxes as income even tho no one will ever get anything out of this cousin.

I fumed over an email for more than an hour before filtering out all the venom and just getting down to 'Gee Whiz, could you fix this, please?'
