He existed. Thomas was reincarnated as a psychic cat, so he hooked up with Hatton and worked at Hatton until he had him under control, and then he went hunting for Drake, to make him his slave.

Of course, being a cat, what he mainly wants is someone to admire him and provide him with food and toys.
