In case you were wondering what I was up to...

Today was another slow day- I'm *almost* recovered from the latest gluten pizening. I'm starting to figure it out- I get at least 3 days of wiped-out exhaustion afterward as my innards heal, and there's no point in arguing with the fact that I can't concentrate & can't stick with any big jobs & just want to sleep.

Found some labels & started labeling the photo albums. Unimportant organizing makes me happy.

Dumped the potting soil out of 30 old plant pots, broke up the hard lumps, pulled out the weeds, and put it back in the pots & then sowed flower seeds in some of them, tomato seeds in 5 big ones, rotting strawberries in two big ones (I forgot to eat them--maybe the drupes will sprout), and left some unplanted in case things go well & I need them for transplanting. Seems silly planting in November, but it's been so hot, I suspect this will work out better than waiting for the proper time of year. Mmm... I hope I get some tomatoes. The soil is pretty tired after growing weeds for a couple years... hope it has some life left in it.

Ken called & said the woman wants to take Roy *tomorrow* instead of Sunday as he'd told me. I put canned cat food in the boxes a couple times and Roy went in of his own free will a couple times. Hopefully, there won't be problems with him.

The roofer boss came and gave me the final paperwork, including one last bill. I'll have to cab it to the bank. Mmmm... bank is close to a movie theater... but it's a really, really bad one. Last 2 times I went (years ago) I had to track down someone to tell them to start the movie half an hour after the stated time. Still... movie... I checked & the only movie I might remotely like to see is 'Bee Movie'... has anyone seen it & formed an opinion whether it's any good?

Called the electrician & told him we have a window from now til Dec. 3 when there won't possibly be any inspectors (he's paranoid- thinks they'll come along and fine us for him doing electric work without a permit.) He said he'd come on Tuesday to start. EEE! I hope, I hope. It's only the first thing the pool needs, but a start is good!
