The window salesman guy who never got paid recommended a pool guy. The pool guy was late because his insurance company dropped him and he was trying to figure out what to do. No one can get insurance here. He came and looked at the pool & discussed the multiple problems, while I stressed that while I wanted it done right, I couldn't afford any frills (He wanted me to have a tile mural stuck in the pool-- pretty, but not needed). I told him I'd have to get back to him later as I can't handle that and the window bit.

God knows when the windows will be done. If. The construction guy called today to say that he STILL hasn't been able to get the measurements from the window company and can do nothing without that.

The realtor called and said that he needed me to write up a letter explaining why I need him to break into the house & get the letter notarized and send it to him along with a copy of the deed, so he can get a locksmith to get him in to secure the property. So I went through ehouse's LJ books using the 'Find' to pick out posts about my aunt & typed it up, planning to call a taxi tomorrow to go to the bank to get it notarized and to get the deed out of my safe box & copy it.

The grocery taxi guy came a day early, insisting that 'The paper says the 4th' Yes, it does and today's the 3rd. Ok, fine... but they took it on themselves YET AGAIN to make substitutions. I ordered a Purdue brand turkey I was going to thaw & cook for my birthday on the 7th- and he brought a Butterball which is basted with a wheat-based substance. He also brought *breaded* flounder fillets, not the plain ones I'd ordered. *sigh* No turkey for my bday. Am glad I caught the error and refused delivery of those two items. I *did* get a huge pork roast. I'll cut it up tomorrow when I have strength. Maybe if I call the Grocery Taxi boss and explain that I'm allergic and they can't make food substitutions at random, it will help.

I emailed the realtor a copy of the letter for his approval, and then called to let him know to check his email. He said he was just about to call me. My aunt had sent a letter to his office at an OLD address telling him she'd vacated & left a key somewhere. It had been redirected & that's why it took so long. He's going to go to the house and see if he can find the key.

If it's there he can just get a lockbox put on the lock & then any realtor can access the house at any time. He wondered about her furniture and I was unsympathetic. I told him she could call to ask permission to access the house to get her stuff. (Although I bet there's more than one door and I'm sure she only left the key to the front door.)

I am so... tired... and haven't really accomplished anything. *sigh*
