Another gray day

feng_shui_houseOh! Judith just emailed me to tell me thanks for telling her about the messed-up link on Hermit's home page. It's fixed now. :^)
I mean, another day with threatening optical migraine- I've got to where I can wake up and tell I'm not up to par. This is good, so I know to take it easy.
Construction guy and his young helper are here (I suspect young guy is son or nephew). He's taking out A/C and 3 windows entirely- he says he'll board them up with plywood to tide me over until the window guys come. Please, please, beneficient deities, let the window guys come on the 12th and let it all go smoothly. Please?
Called grocery taxi & the guy said they're behind schedule on billing because of the holiday rush & that's why my overcharge hasn't been corrected even though he had told me it would be fixed on Monday. He knew my name, so he did remember. When I explained that I can't have substitutions in some things because of my allergies and asked if there was a way of noting them on the order he said there is a comment box when you order. I hadn't noticed it. Will look for it next time.
Dug out an old bill & called the NY water company. I was told they don't stop an account because it's a lifetime hookup. I'll be billed a minimum of 70 cents per day even with it vacant and unused. She didn't think it would be possible for my tenant to change any of the other utilities to my name (as my cousin wondered if she would have done out of spite). But it's possible she simply never notified them to stop service. I just emailed the realtor asking for suggestions how to find out which companies to call.
