Reverting icons

I didn't really feel like giving them the money for more. I am continuing to keep Avon a paid account because I'm spoilt & don't want to go freebie, but extra money for user pics...I can do without. But I wanted to CONTROL the reduction myself. The email said click here if you have any questions, and like a trusting, gullible LJer I did. All it does is send an automatic support request. So I went hunting in the FAQs myself (they could have included the following info in the notification quite easily.)

A paid account is alloted 30 userpics plus any loyalty pics you've earned.

Avon has 17 so is allowed 47 even without the extras (which brought it up to 117, but since I only had 50 pics in use I won't be losing much.)

If you don't delete to get down to your alloted number, LJ will make inactive the ones you use least in making a POST (you'll still be able to see them on your icon page, but won't be able to use them). They don't count how often you use an icon in COMMENTS.

I deleted 3 icons I seldom use, 'okay' and 'numb' and the one I used to use when I was too lazy to switch accounts which I haven't used since getting a computer that could handle 2 different browsers. So maybe it'll confuse people on old comments. Next year I should have 3 more loyalty icons if LJ hasn't kicked me out- I could make a new 'okay' and 'numb' and they would automatically replace the old comments/posts that had used the icons with the same names. It doesn't matter to me, but if it matters to you, then try to remember to write down the *exact* keyword for any icon you delete.
