Date: 2009-11-28 10:43 pm (UTC)I *think* it's an asparagus fern. I didn't buy it, it's a volunteer plant. It doesn't bloom often but every once in a while conditions are right- then it produces tiny green berries.
I had fun with that pic of Thomas. It was a cute shot of him lying in a patch of sunlight even before I 'shopped it.

Date: 2009-11-28 11:14 pm (UTC)The 'asparagus fern' (I was told that's what it's called) is a very *strange* plant. It has fernlike leaves, it grows like a vine around bushes and trees choking them to death, it has tiny spiky thorns that dry up and become irritating dust, it blooms tiny flowers along the ferny bits that mature into tiny green berries and it has roots that go down to CHINA so I can't dig them up. So, even though it's an annoying weed I try to enjoy the beauty of it, and trim it back with gloves when it gets too enthusiastic.

Date: 2009-11-29 01:19 am (UTC)[Edit] The kittens are obviously really happy, but these ones just have that sort of face. This is my favourite Draper post. Sooooo cute!
I like the potato-cut giraffes.

Date: 2009-11-29 01:33 am (UTC)The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee is adorable. I wonder how many fosters she's raised altogether?
I want to try doing more with the potato-print tomorrow, if the potato is still usable. With luck it's cool & dry enough that it'll dry rubbery instead of go soft & moldy.
