I'm so hot. And hungry. And tired. *flumph* Noooo energggeeeee.
Fledgling mockingbird- for some time I've been hearing them cheeping in the yard- there's a nest at the top of the orchid tree which I guess was them. Impossible to see anything but twigs. The last couple weeks though, the babies are out of the nest and being cared for by the parents all over the yard. Several times they were in a low bush where I was able to get about 5 feet away and snap away without bothering them. These are the best pics I got.

White Ibis hanging out on a lightpost down the block from me a few days ago.

Date: 2011-05-31 01:48 am (UTC)I can't remember when it wasn't scorching. I'm now down to watering the dead/dying plants in the front on alternate days with the back, trying to keep from becoming a dust bowl.

Poor you, you must be tired enormously in that heat...
