Harmony Horses and Fabric Failure

Yesterday the results were in on the plushie fabric contest. I was disgruntled to find my teddy bear came in 72nd place (184 votes) out of 130 entries, with many ahead of me that frankly I thought were very poor, or downright *nasty* including PEDO bear and Honey Badger doesn't give a @#$!.

I'll still enter the contests, for fun & a bit of exposure, but I'm gonna try not to waste so much time on them in future. I ordered a piece of my teddy bear fabric & I'll make one to please myself. Someone has asked me to make the Hedgehog Holiday fabric available for sale-- I hope she still wants it by the time I get the swatch & can put it up.



I did this horse on one browser & wasn't sure whether I wanted to do more with it.


So I opened another browser to try a different horse- it started out well, but somehow it works different on this browser and very quickly was ruined. So here's an early stage.

I always love the colors you chose for your drawing. I especially like the gray drawing although it is difficult to choose favorites.

Thank you! For some reason, I find it easier to choose colors in Harmony than in complex drawing programs. Sometimes simple is best.

I love both horses, they're so beautiful. The eyes on the second horse are lovely. :o)
I'm sorry your teddy bear fabric didn't do as well as you would have liked. I thought it was quite lovely.

Thank you! I wouldn't really have minded it doing poorly, if it hadn't had so many really crummy ones ahead of it. I think what happened is that people voted for things that looked really easy to sew & it was more complicated than they liked.
