A friend sent me this link & I thought it was lovely.
Ravel's Bolero 'Flash mob symphony'

I have a dull headache & continuing sense of *blah* so am avoiding work as usual. Some days it's really difficult getting vitamins down my stupid narrow throat & even the thought makes me queasy, so I've been missing a lot of days. Must work on it. My diet is so unbalanced, skipping vitamins makes me very *flop*.

My regular taxi driver's phone still didn't go answer, but after I hung up he called me. He's been in the hospital, having a really bad time with kidney stones/operation/complications/ICU, etc. & is just now starting very limited return to work. After telling me all the details of his illness he said he could look for someone in the area (there is NEVER any taxi 'in my area') to take me to the grocery today or, if I could wait, he could take me tomorrow but he can't lift anything in his condition. So hopefully, I'll get to the grocery store tomorrow. I may be 'blah' but I can lift stuff. Today I think I will give the cats some canned chicken I bought for myself a long time ago. Really isn't much else left.

We are now up to 'Nate' in the named tropical storms. I suspect we'll run through the 21 name list again this year and go on to Greek names, Alpha, Beta, etc.

It's been long enough after the electric co. moved their set of wires that the next co. should have come. Hah. Unsurprisingly, no. Shall have to call my contact at the electric co. & ask for names and phone nos. of the next company so I can Take Names and Kick Ass. Yay. *flumph* No energy for ass-kicking today.

The bird theme fabric contest got a LOT of entries, wow- 340! Took quite a while to go through 22 pages on the ballot. Many, many are far better than mine so I haven't even a faint fantasy of making it to the top 10. At least this time there aren't any I'd be offended to have place higher than mine. Someone messaged me last night that they were interested in *part* of my Miami Tiger design so I'm gonna hunt up the zoo photos & see if I can make it a single image design. Can't recall whether I originally pieced two pics together because the one they wanted was unsuitable on its own or just felt like merging two.

It's raining. Yay, no guilt for not working on pool/yard. Boo, for making weeds grow faster.

Am off to hunt tigers.

I hope you will manage to get to the grocery in time before you run out of your supplies! Damn, it is unfortunate you can“t get a taxi when you need it.
Also this miserable condition of yours lasts too long...you need some decent and safe food and decent weather too.
Ha! Happy hunting the tigers!!!
BTW that Bolero thing is GORGEOUS!!!!(I was in that very same station in Kopenhagen about 15 years ago...)

Worst come to worst, I could prob. beg a ride from my next-door neighbor, but that would involve a lot of social complications, wait days until it's convenient, have to be grateful & guilty that I have no way of returning any kind of favor he'd want, etc.

I still have a couple days worth dry cat food, so the cats won't go entirely hungry unless they choose to be picky.

My digestive tract inherited several different annoyances from various parts of the family, I just have to figure out the 'rules'. :^)

I found the tiger. Took a bit of fiddling to make the image repeat seamlessly in a stripe. Trying to make it seamless all around would be wayyy too impossible, so hopefully this person wanted it as a stripe.

I may have to watch the Bolero performance a few more times, it's so lovely.

Wow, what an experience for commuters! The little children really loved it. I'm wondering how they got the harp in there.

At least you've found out where your taxi driver has been...

I knew he was having trouble with the kidney stones, I was just afraid he'd died. Glad to know that didn't happen.

I wondered how they got a LOT of the big instruments in there- one man had two huge drums.

Have you ever googled liquid vitamins, I just have and have found Amazon UK and they have several types with a wide range of prices. Of course They may have something in them that you react to but it might be worth a try

Unfortunately, nearly all liquid/syrupy things are *likely* to have gluten as a binder (and not required to put it on the label). If it continues to be a problem swallowing them, I'll hunt up the gluten-free company I use and ask if they have liquid versions of the ones I need.

What about chewable ones or do they have gluten in them too?

Mostly, yes. Good idea, tho. When/if I get 'round to inquiring at the GF vitamin co, I'll ask about them as an option, too.

*hugs* I hope you'll be able to get to the store tomorrow.

I hate taking vitamins - especially the calcium ones that are so darn huge.

Thank you for the Bolero link - it was lovely. :o)

*huggles* I'm hopeful of going out tomorrow. It could happen!

I drink lots of milk, at least, so I don't bother with the calcium, but some days even tiny pills don't wanna go down.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Bolero.

*Hugs* Hope you feel better real soon and get to the store, too. I'm feeling a bit down, myself--UTI. Yuck!

*huggles* Have you tried massive doses of vitamin C? I got rid of a UTI (admittedly it was just starting to be painful) by eating around 5000MG of chewable C in a day. You can't take that much on a regular basis without getting sick, but a couple days shouldn't hurt.

I'm doing the cranberry capsules routine, but so far no go. I'll try the Vitamin C, too.

Heck, I even cured my dog that way. :^) She got so bad she couldn't pee, but one day after C loading her she was happy again.

Thank you for the v-gift :)

I hope you get a taxi tomorrow for certain. My cats are not much interested in canned chicken. I have tried giving it to them without much success.

Rain? None here since early July.

V-gifts are fun. :^)

I mashed the chicken up with a fork and told them it was a new flavor of cat food. Got away with it this time. :^)

I'm in the subtropics & we normally have a rainy season where it rains at least once a day for months- the weather patterns have been disrupted the last few decades and we hadn't been getting it. I'm glad to see the rain, even if it's inconvenient. Need to replenish the water supplies.

We need rain badly as I've written. But with the ground like fine powder a little more than 31" down when Terry and Randy were drilling to set in beans for my trellis, it we have a hard rain that lasts more than several minutes there will be flooding. It will only run off since the ground is like concrete.

I honestly look forward to a dark and rainy day.

Thank you for posting the Copenhagen Philharmonic, I really enjoyed that.
Good luck getting to the grocery store. It's nice that the cab driver actually rang you back; most here wouldn't bother.
