One day I may splurge and buy a longer zoom. To get these pics I had to be nearly in arm's reach of the butterflies. It takes Ninja Butterfly Whisperer skill to do that. On occasion I have had butterflies brush me with their wings in passing. That is seriously cool.
2 Zebra Longwing butterfly

1 Spotted skipper

4 Sulfurs I think all of different species (possibly a couple are different genders of the same species, I'm not in the mood to check.) I rarely get a chance to photograph the larger sulfurs as they are high-fliers- I can see them flitting along over the tops of large trees very often, but they seldom alight in my yard.
(the dark areas on the back of the wings in the first photo are actually holes, showing the color of the upper side of the other wing.)

Thank you for sharing :)
