Lovely day today, was cloudless and under 70 F earlier.

Before and after photos- the sun hit the wall at the right angle this morning to show shiny places where I hadn't covered the semi-gloss, so I pulled away the stuff I'd moved back and repainted- just when I was thinking to begin a sock dachshund. Oh, well... another day.

Don't recall if I showed this photo- finished both pillowcases, but they're the same, so one is enough to show.

There's currently 3 tomcats who visit my yard- this one seems the youngest. He's slowly getting less frightened by me.

Oh, I HOPE, I HOPE. Fresh tomatoes that are safe to eat. That would be lovely. This is the most advanced plant. I'm resisting giving the plant food- last time I was too generous and wound up with a huge, healthy plant, with no fruit.

And here's what the bougainvillea coming back looks like.

And this volunteer plant is growing under the orchid tree. Not a great spot, but I fear moving will kill it- I moved another one that had been under the loquat tree, and despite best efforts it looks like dead sticks.

I went out in the drizzle and saw this disgruntled mockingbird.

The day when it was really chilly turkey vultures were forced to fly low, since there weren't many hot thermals. Gave me a chance to get a few good snaps.

I heard delicate peep cheep noises and figured there had to be warblers SOMEWHERE. At the moment the orchid tree hasn't got a thick leaf coverage so I was able eventually to see the birds.

I didn't realize until I got back in and looked at the pics closer, but they were two different species- the palm warbler (first pic) I have seen and photographed before, but the Northern Parula (second pic) is a new bird for me. :^)

Ok, I should get to work, haven't done much today.

Well, I turned some of the turkey vulture photos into a design, that's something. :^)
