well, for certain really generous definitions of excitement.

I stayed up til 3am reading SGA fic (got caught in one of those fic that turns out to be a series) and then at 9am there was KNOCKKNOCKKNOCK at my front door. On a SUNDAY? Must be emergency! Luckily I had one of my more modest and not holey nightgowns on as I fumbled my way to the window to open it a crack to see who it was before unlocking the door.

Amazon order. I mean... 9am on Sunday delivery? Not what I was prepared for, but ok. GF COOOKIEEES. YAY. Expensive little buggers, but delicious. Decided to stay up and try to get things done. Ate way too many of the cookies. Also got Dr. Strange DVD and latest book in cool series which is hard to define- modern romance/sf/fantasy/magic about a woman with a magical inn and a ton of mystery and troubles. Ilona Andrews' (husband & wife writing team) 'One Fell Sweep'.

I RESISTED. I have not watched the movie, or read the book, because I have stuff to do. Ok, so I ate a lot of the cookies. I'm no saint.

I remembered to cook the chicken I had thawed in the fridge- nothing fancy, just boiled with carrots, salt and poultry seasoning.

I added a couple more chapters to When You're Real. Commenters have been very nice to me, and it's helped me get a bit more into my writing groove, even though some of the chapters are very short.

I mowed the back, and found 4 ripe tomatoes- three of them were really really really tiny- like grape size, too small to be worth photographing. I ate them right as I picked them. So good.

I found my book of tangrams, and made a design for the latest Spoonflower contest on tangrams. I decided to use colors from the Bayeux Palette I'd made. Took a loooooooong time, but I think it turned out nice.

I went out a few minutes ago to dump some recycling, and there were two cats. Very pretty pale orange and white cats. They stared at me, but didn't run, so I got a couple snaps. One of them was sitting among my zinnias, so that should be a pretty photo. I looked and the rat was gone- there was just an indentation in the grass weeds where it had been. So I'm glad I didn't steal anyone's dinner.

Finally checked the Ipernity Spoonbud forum (there's really only me & one other person using it these days and she's often silent for several days) and my fellow Spoonbud had left a post saying that some of my designs were now for sale at Etsy.

Cool beans. I recently got my first couple sales at Amazon- maybe that's why Spoonflower added me to their shop? I don't know. They obviously handpicked designs because you can see things in similar themes, and also they renamed nearly all of them (note: I DO know how to spell llama. ;^)'

Ok, fingers are tired after all the mousing and typing. Shall go relax by washing up the dishes.
