Naarmamo Day 25, Crayon pig

Brown animals on brown paper are much easier to do in crayon. ;^) Takes FOREVER to get pink to show up. Also, while the pig looks ok like this, I tried mirroring it and realized it's actually distorted. So strange that I can't see that without flipping it.

Then you should have done a Sandyback (Tamworth pig), they're brown.

I did actually think of doing a Tamworth, but the photo reference for this one caught my eye and I thought 'how hard can it be'?

And then I discovered LJ's scrapbook is acting up today. That SHOULD be a link to click to open in a new page as the full-size image, but it's not working. They announced a 'beta' coding change yesterday and I guess it's messed up the scrapbook too.

I couldn't even post the way I usually do, as the one post button (the one directly on the image) did nothing.

The story mentioned a postcard so I looked it up- seems like the postcard inspired the story and not the other way around.

I'm quite willing to believe that. I first heard the story in a less elaborate form as part of the "Ayli and Aynock" tales. They are a local version of the wise fools stories that crop up all over the place.
