Seven Cat photos

Very sleepy today- it's been overcast with the looming pressure that puts me to sleep- plus reaction from yesterday having to associate with a living human being inside my home... So, I did manage to sort out a few photos & am going to post some of them.



First two are Natasha. She has a great Resting Murder Face. The next one shows her weird fur lengths, as far as I can tell some places her undercoat randomly grows so long it sticks out like cotton. Have combed her recently so it's not as much as it often is.



And here's some of the cats in the neighborhood that wander into my yard. A brown tabby tom with really lovely markings-- I guess they call that 'marble'.

And a red tabby tom who is also very handsomely marked.


And this calico lady shows up very often and isn't nearly as shy as the toms (I can get a snap or two at zoom before they run off, she doesn't much mind me so long as I'm not too close.)

They're all beautiful! I always called them marbled tabbies but apparently the correct term is "classic" and Ashley is a mackerel tabby, like the other two I've had.

There's also a spotted tabby, which is very uncommon in chance bred cats.

Pretty much any healthy cat is beautiful. ;^)

Wonderful action shot of the lizard between sharp claws! I expect its fate was that of most lizards my cats catch. Ours are plain dark brown lizards with a bronze sheen, no pinstripes, and very active and plentiful; Geoffrey knows he can get one whenever he feels like it, so although he always reacts to their movement he often only pursues half-heartedly. He does catch and eat a large number... or abandon them in the bathroom to be discovered later.

Yep, the cats that come into my yard definitely are hunters. The next door neighbor feeds them, but they are always on the lookout for something more.

The lizard was only batted around for a couple of minutes before another cat showed up, and the calico quickly ate the 'zard, no doubt fearing she'd lose it.

Yes, when the light catches her right, she's misleadingly angelic. ;^)

I did name Natasha after an assassin- but if she has murdered anyone, she's hidden the evidence. :^)

Oh, Natasha the Great! What lovely cats there and they look healthy. That one with a lizard has really big paws.
I liked them all!!!
