I stopped counting, but anyway, it's a good number of masks started and waiting in the sewing room for me to get back to them. Some of them are now earmarked for a cousin who emailed me yesterday & in the course of the convo 'what are you up to, are you ok, do you need anything' the mask making was mentioned & she said a friend of hers made some for charity, but she wished the friend had given HER some.

Am taking a break now. My left knee doesn't like me very much. It doesn't mind sewing, but standing to cut fabric, and especially standing to pin and pleat and iron... it grumbles.

I'll send my cousin some when they're done- taking it slow cuz my knee right now is only warning me, and I'm paying attention to it.

I'm using the USPS priority mail flat rate to take advantage of online paying and at home pickup. The 2 I already sent out to (to 2 different) care facilities for the elderly have arrived, according to tracking.

BUT the one I sent to Z as an early bday present because I figure now is a good time for cheering up-- well, ok, it's got to cross the continental US to get to her. Florida to California. Expected to arrive April 1st ( I wasn't that optimistic, but I thought at worst it would be delayed somewhere *BETWEEN* me and Z.)

BUT it went PAST her and the last I heard it had been in Honolulu, Hawaii before leaving there 'in transit' which... what? WHY? Is it on a raft being towed by a drunken dolphin in circles?

Darn it. And it's not like a lost Amazon mass produced product that can just be reordered. Stuff I made from fabric that was ALL there is of it, stuff I found in stores and saved because I thought Z would like. *Sigh*
