Cloudless sulphur. I love how simple and elegant this butterfly is. Wish I'd get a chance to photograph them more often.



And here are 2 pics of a PERFECT Ruddy Daggerwing butterfly! YAYAYAYYAY!!





And two photos of a Sleepy Orange butterfly- I had been confused and called it a cloudless sulphur, which is silly because it obviously HAS cloud like markings. I see lots of this now that I have filled the yard with both a host plant weed for their egg laying, and a lantana for their noshing, but they are very hyper little guys and it's difficult to get photo. Getting a photo with the wings outstretched is EVEN HARDER. I haven't managed it very often. Fortunately, they're pretty in side view, too.

Oooooohhhh! THe Ruddy Daggerwing is a stunning beauty! You managed a perfect photo!
The cloudless sulphur looks very elegent - like those terribly expensive, very simple outfits.
And the small ones are really very lively - they are here and there and suddenly nowhere!
Of course lantana is the favourite one.

when I looked at the second Ruddy Daggerwing up close, the markings low on the hind wings make up not just eyes, but also a nose and frowning face!
