Just waiting to see what hurricane ISAIAS will do to me. Probably not much, but you never know with hurricanes. Even if it's not a big deal, I could lose power or just internet (one day I must squeeze out funds for a laptop- I love my desktop but when there's no power it's just a desk ornament.) The internet is my everything- no social network- no car- so it's Instacart for groceries, and Amazon for bigger essentials. *fingers crossed*

Right now (going for 9 a.m. EST) the weather is fine, probably be 12 hours before it really reaches me.

So tired... I did what preparations I could all day yesterday. And didn't sleep well. ZZZZ, shall try for a little nap.

Thanks! So far, so good. :^) I gave up on napping and instead went out to photograph the few zinnias that are blooming- something to remember them by. :^)

Shall be cautious. ;^) I went out and it had cleared up enough that the butterflies were back. There was also a Monarch- can't remember when I last saw one of that species.

This is like a good sign. If butterflies had instincts, it definitely would. Otherwise they would leave and hide.

I don't think hurricanes bother butterflies. I suspect they just go down low under bushes and wait. I recall the next day after a hurricane that did a lot of damage I went out to check around the house and saw butterflies.

Maybe they just let the wind take them and enjoy the ride. :^)

There's been a few gusts, and the rain comes and goes- rain 'bands' extend out a long way from the storms. So it can be blue sky with a fluffy white clouds, and ten minutes later, gray sky and rain.

So far, so good! The storm weakened so it falls below hurricane status, and it shifted course slightly away from me. So it's not yet reached me, and at the moment, it's just a normally rainy day with a bit of gusty wind in between totally dead calm.
