TWO giant swallowtails at once.

I was out distracting myself by butterfly watching, when I saw a giant swallowtail feeding on the lantana.

Yay.

And then a SECOND giant swallowtail came and pursued the first with determination for several minutes- the first one just wanted to eat, the second one... well, I guess it was looking for love. It is DIFFICULT to get one of these butterflies in focus, but I lucked out and one photo has both of them in focus. YAY.

I saw the BBC news and they say that it could be possible for the hurricane to miss Florida and "only" copy the coast to the north-east... What is the situation like now?

It's not a bad day here, all gray and drizzly. Looks like I lucked out. :^)

I even went out in between rain and got pics of butterflies feeding on lantana and zinnias.

I am! It rained heavily for a little while, and I heard thunder just now, but so far, so good- looking out the window, even my zinnias are still ok.
