The $70 Ultra-fine Filter Basket I bought for my pool robot, to supplement the less ultra one that came with it, was a disappointment.
I noted that it didn't pick up much more silt than the old basket, but I consoled myself that at least I could save time by switching out baskets and letting it run while I cleaned the old one.
Then I picked the basket out and the bottom opened by itself. The latch would not hold.
*sigh* It had been delivered on the 13th, which maybe was an omen. :^)
I went to my order & started the automated return and then I decided to try the LiveChat. That turned out easier than I expected- apparently the LiveChat automation is friends with the automated return because it knew what product I was talking about.
They used to require me to print up the return label myself when I asked to have it picked up, but now I just have to repack it (minus the old label) and leave it out for the UPS person who will bring a new mailing label. I did have a page to print to put *inside* as backup in case the outer label was lost, but that seemed optional.
I was offered a choice of refund or replacement-- since the basket wasn't damaged, I suspect it's a manufacturing defect and a replacement likely to be the same, so I asked for a refund. With any luck it'll be picked up tomorrow.
The city workers came by today and asphalted the road they'd dug up AGAIN a few days ago.
Today I have no sense of smell (mildly worrisome) but on the bright side it means the asphalt didn't bother me.
