Rock eater

The first stage of rock tumbling ended today- I kinda regret going with the longest recommended number of days because it ATE four of the dozen rocks included in the kit. Turned them into slurry with a few specks of tiny stone bits. VANISHED.

Wow. Currently there are 8 good sized rocks already fairly well smoothed, and three stages to go. I'm using the minimum number of days for the next stage.

I can now see that I do have a Dalmatian stone and what I'm pretty sure is a tiger eye-- here's hoping they survive to the finale.

I expected to lose some, but not that much! ;^) I guess the Tumblr works better than I thought it would. ;^)
