Raining Cars and Cogs...

After months of drought, now it seems I'm in for monsoon. Oh, well... I did have a brief break in the morning when I was able to do a bit of yard work- got some St. Augustine grass runners transplanted from where they were overgrowing the sidewalk to the back yard where the dirt's been flooding in by the back door & hope they'll root and stabilize the soil, also transplanted the last of the cosmos seedlings to the front flower bed (which is already getting weedy again. The weeds do GREAT, always.)
And then I wrote a short fic. I saw the Pixar movie 'Cars' a few days ago, and got an idea to fuse that with Avenger's Endgame. TONY STARK LIVES.
So if you want to read 'Re-in CARnation' here it is.

If the rain stops again, I might try to weed out another patch to transplant some zinnia seedlings. Hard to keep up when there's such short windows of opportunity!

Date: 2021-07-01 05:44 am (UTC)We are recovering from an enourmous stormy/windy/rainy/haily night...with an outage too...fortunately all survived all right but I was SCARED. Many trees fell, only one small in my garden.
Nnothing like our unhappy Moravia destroyed by a tornado...but still it left havoc behind...
My cosmos survived and looks happy!
