Remembered I had an extra filter cone for Max & with water level low I'll need to use him again. Went to rummage for it and found more stuff to throw away AND something called a Leaf Gobbler, which is supposed to work on pressure from a garden hose (still have to guide it on a pole). I don't even remember getting this thing- and it's brand shiny new.
Every corner of this house has mystery stuff. I just looked at a tote bag that's been hanging on the computer room door forever- it's got yarn I'd selected to make little crocheted teddy bears along with the printed out pattern and other patterns for simple things to make while watching movies. Haven't crocheted in ages.
I went out to water in the front, and a boy came by on a bicycle-I don't know his name, but he's familiar to me. He's taken some of the baby trees I put out in bags with 'Free' on them when I found them while weeding (and then came back and asked if I had more) & also snaffled some of the Christmas stuff I put on the curb last Dec.
After I once more established to him that English is my only language, he wanted to know if I'd seen a pair of beige sandals. Yep. They were thrown in my yard the other day, so I treated them like trash and threw them away. Oh- are they in that- he pointed to my recycle bin that I just put out. No, they went in the garbage, they're gone (actually I think they're still in my yard in my garbage bin, buried under a lot of other stuff including cat litter and used tissues, but NO WAY am I opening a bag of garbage for him to root through and I'm sure not doing it.) Oh, he said they're expensive, like 200! My friend put them to dry.
Wow. $200 for plastic sandals? Come on, kid. A quick google brought up what looks EXACTLY like them. Walmart clearance $4.08.

Go tell your friend they owe you $200 and see how it goes. :^)
Pushed Max around the pool, pulled up more crabgrass, and then rummaged through part of two piles of fabric on top of other stuff & found what could be projects- a long time ago I collected t-shirts with fun prints (cats and wild cats and a few other animals mostly) from the thrift store to make quilts (I put iron on the back to stabilize).
I had a couple left over that were nice, but didn't match the rest, so maybe I'll make tote bags from them. Not that I NEED tote bags, but at least they'd be SOMETHING, instead of just a cut out ironed on piece of t-shirt.
'Tasha came up and yelled at me in the specific yell she assigns to 'COMB ME'. I followed her into the hallway where she plops down on her side. I stand on the right side so she can see me while I comb her. When I've done that side I tell her FLIP. Not that she FLIPS, but she does cooperate when I turn her over (that used to be a bit of a catfrontation until I realized I should step over to be on her other side so she could still see me & for her to realize that FLIP was the signal for the change.) Interspecies communication is a two way process.
Made a bunch of colorways in small, half scale, and large, so for once I've used up the entire 50 per week set for sale.
So sleepy, so yawns...
printed up a tote tutorial from my 'Crafts, Assorted' folder... but so sleepppy...
Ok, had a 3 hour nap & it's now 6:40 pm. *blinking myself awake after a hunt for my shoes which wound up in the sewing room where I'd put the printout tutorial. Fortunately, I'd prepared some photoes in advance.
'Tasha really liked it when I washed the cover on her couch.

I didn't realize it until I uploaded the photo, but this lizard had already lost the tail and was regrowing it.
