Voice Post- Garble Sings!
Sep. 22nd, 2007 08:25 am(The auto-transcription is not terribly accurate- this is the script I wrote and followed:
As I was doing a careful naked dance in the shower this morning, while singing random bits of song very softly, I suddenly realized that for the first time in my life I could sing loud enough to be heard over the water without being mocked.
I enjoyed it quite a bit, and I thought I'd like to inflict it on my flist as well.
When I was in high school everyone had to take an arts 'cycle' which included chorus. We were sorted ABC and D with A being soloists, and D being allowed only to sing when everyone else did- and told to sing softly at that.
I was rated 'D' so I won't be offended if you plug your ears.
This is the song fragment I mostly sang this morning. It's from the animated movie 'Watership Down'. Hazel rabbit has gone missing. He's been shot and is hiding in a drainage pipe. His psychic brother, Fiver, leads the others to him.
bright eyes
burning like fire
bright eyes
filled with desire
how can the light
that burned so brightly
suddenly turn so dim
Bright eyes
There, you can uncover your ears now.)
