Drake is Not a Sockpuppet. He's a SockPenguin. The instructions I had were rotten, so I tossed them aside, picked up a pair of scissors, and figured out a method of my own.

Hmmm...I've looked through my files for a puppielike penguin, and none jumps out at me the way the Drakeguin did. But there are some ginormously cute penguins out there. I think I'll cull some images from the web and put up a poll in dv_squee for the official Puppieguin...

Well, since it'll be made from the same sock, it won't look properly like any species of penguin. The things that made a doll look like a particular person vary from person to person- sometimes an accessory will do it, sometimes it's a subtle spacing of the eyes and shaping and proportions.

Thomas has a number of distinctive features- I just need to work out which are both essential and feasible.

I was actually referring to the Drake LOL Penguin (which the sockpenguin resembles a lot). That penguin was so obviously a reincarnation of Drake...

Yes, I noticed the resemblance about 2 seconds *after* I finished the sockdoll. I've got some pengies on my computer. I'll look to see if any look Doughtie-ish.

Actually, a version of the 'chinstrap' penguin might give you a nice beard-- I just don't know if it's practical.
