There are 2 trucks from a DIFFERENT firm out playing with the sewer lift station, now (think they're just pumping water in & shouldn't be an all-day affair). Doesn't matter if they block the road (which they aren't) because I called Pool Guy at 7:30 am (I figured if he could call me at that time yesterday, I could call him at that time today) and it turns out that even if the weather cleared (it's iffy, but better than yesterday) one of the two workers needed isn't going to work (not sure whether he's just out for the day, or is skiving off without notice) so I told Pool Guy, fine, I'll go to the grocery store (need to, my eggs were so old 5 out of 18 floated when I tested them & my milk is going cheesy- which, actually, for a while I can add chocolate syrup to it & still drink it-- whatever doesn't make me sick I'm not picky about & cheese is edible), but I'm waiting until I feel up to going out & don't think my taxi guy starts his day this early anyway.
So I will do my morning chores & work a bit on the bookcase & shower before I go out. I got everything sawed yesterday, next step is to sand a few rough spots, decide whether screws or nails would be better & then drill appropriate size starter holes). I am pleased with the quantity of wood I've used up. If this works out, I may try to make another, smaller, one (don't have enough heavy stud left to make another the same height.)
Mmm... maybe I'll try to hit the post office first. I keep getting distracted from that.
Note to self: Pay 2 bills, & later order new canon camera & big flash drives (ran out of space for backing up photos on the computer) & send more butterfly pics to the big butterfly site (they've put up the ones I had already sent them-for one entry they had no photos at all, so ta-daa, mine wound up on the main entry, as well as the 'additional photos' page. I am a 'citizen-scientist'!

Also Note to self: Have pretty photos to post- try to do that today. Do you guys think mice are cute? I do... but still, one day I must patch up the mouse holes in Bernard- at least 4 mice are living in him.
