Eye say, eye say...
Nov. 23rd, 2011 09:30 pmI went to the eye guy today & everything's very good. He seemed to think my eyes are very healthy for a person of my age. EEEE! Yeah, you gotta tell them your age. OMG, on the 7th of next month I'll be at the speed limit- able to get the Senior Citizen discount at the thrift shop. EEEEE!! So, back to my dr. visit. He said there's no way of correcting either eye with a single lens so I can see a) handwork b) sewing machine and c) computer distances clearly. So, eh, my left eye's good for closeup & sewing machine, I ordered eyeglasses for the computer. I'm having them mail the glasses to me.
As long as I'd had the taxi ride to the eye place I figured I'd go to the movies (a 2 minute walk across the parking lot) afterward (have my old distance eyeglasses which are only useful in the movies) & see whatever was starting not long after I got out of the dr.'s office. Turned out the only thing starting in half an hour when I got to the box office was 'Hugo'. I had no idea what it was, neither did the ticket seller, but with a PG rating I thought I might like it & if not, I'd just go catch part of another movie.
( I loved Hugo. No spoilers, really. )
